BO says: While I would have great difficulty in selecting a "TOP TEN" from all the songs I have loved in my life, these are the ten that have special significance for me.

Number one is by The Righteous Brothers who were an American duo and this track entered the charts on the 12th August 1965 and reached number 14. They stayed in the charts for 14 weeks. It came back in again on the 27th October after being in the film "Ghost". It got to number 1 and stayed around for 14 weeks.
BO says: as sung by any good tenor but especially as in the movie "Ghost" which was my introduction to Demi Moore (grin)

Number 2 is by Barbra Streisand who was born in 1942 and this track entered the charts on the 30th March 1974 and only reached the number 31 spot and stayed within the charts for 6 weeks.
BO says:This was my late sisters party piece and just to hear the opening bars brings her face back to me.

Number 3 is by Patsy Cline one of Americas finest singers. This track entered the charts on the 8th December 1990 and reached number 14 and stayed in there for 11 weeks.
BO says: it was written by Willie Nelson.

Number 4 was by Willie Nelson and although this track never made the charts he did have a hit with "To all the girls I loved before" in 1984.
BO says: nothing about this one lol.

Number 5 is by The Everly Bothers. This was Don & Phil Everly's first hit. This track entered the charts on the 12th July 1957 and reached the number 6 slot and stayed in the charts for 16 weeks.
BO says: These guys were responsible for me buying my first guitar. It's just a pity that I am tone deaf (grin).

Number 6 is by Don McLean. This first entered the charts on the 22nd January 1972 and got to number 2 and remained for 16weeks. It came back in the charts again on the 5th October 1991 where it went to number 12 and stayed for 10 weeks.
BO says: I like all Dons music.

The number 7 is by Lena Martell. This was Lenas only hit and it entered the charts on the 29th September 1979 and went straight to the number 1 position. It stayed in the charts for 18 weeks.
BO says: As a recovering alcoholic myself I appreciate the sentiment and besides this she was an Anderston lassie by the name of Helen Thomson when I drank with her Dad. (I was born and raised in Anderston which is a district in Glasgow where men are men........and so are half the women (grin).

The Platters at number 8 entered the charts on the 7th September 1956 and reached the number 5 spot and stayed around for 12 weeks. They re entered on the 29th March 1957 and only managed the number 18 spot and stayed a further 3 weeks. It was released as a double "A" side with "The Great Pretender".
No comments from BO on this one lol.

The number 9 record is by Reginald Dwight more commonly known as Elton John. This entered the charts on the 12th October 1985 and reached the number 3 slot and stayed around for 13 weeks.
No comments on this one either lol.

Finally the number 10 song. This is by Fats Domino who was born in February 1928 in the USA. This song came into the charts on the 30th November 1956 and got to number 26 and stayed for 1 week. They all thought it would be a flop but then on the 21st December 1956 it came back into the charts again and peaked at number 6 and stayed around for 14 weeks.
No comments from BO again....is he hiding something? (hee hee)

BOHARAS MUSICAL MEMORY

The only memory that really sticks with me is when Chubby Checker brought out "Let's Twist Again" and I had to learn to twist. Please picture the scene.....a gawky 6 foot 2 inch late teenager (very late..I was 20) (grin) nine stone soaking wet with two left feet and a blush that could have been used as a warning beacon......in a room full of young ladies. Have I said enough ??????? (grin).
